Cougars and Utes Come to Willow Canyon

For our Buddy Activity this week we played BYU vs. Utah games! The boys and girls used map skills, addition skills, and probability skills to do each activity. We had the fight songs for each team playing in the background. We had a lot of fun using our skills and rooting for each school!

Food Drive Goes Red and Blue

The Student Council food drive this year is a contest between the Utah Utes and the BYU Cougars. As students bring in cans they specify whether they want them to go toward the Utah total or the BYU total. The score shown is at the end of the first week. Will the Utes keep their commanding lead, or will the Cougars make a come back in the final week? Help support the Student Council's food drive and make sure your team wins by bringing in cans of food. The food drive ends Nov. 21.

Sixth Grade Makes Games We Can Play

The sixth graders made games as part of a class assignment. Some of the games were original and some were new versions of an old game. They invited us to play the games with them. We had a lot of fun learning their new games and making some new sixth grade friends!

Mrs. Winzenried's Fourth Grade class taught our class how to play hopscotch. We had a great time learning to play. We then got to teach Mrs. Mart's and Mrs. Pedersen's classes how to play.

Mr. Theobald agreed to get slimed if the students raised enough money during the fund raiser. They not only met the goal that was set, but exceeded it by almost $1,000!!! Way to go Wildcats! Doesn't Mr. Theobald look good in green?

We went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden for our field trip. We had a great time seeing lots of huge dinosaurs. Some of them even moved! We got to make dinosaur visors. The park was decorated for Halloween so it made our trip really SPOOKY! It was a fun trip!

We work with our fourth grade buddies from Mrs. Morrison's class every Friday. We have created shape poems and completed word sorts on the computers. We have also done some apple math games and football phonics activities. Our fourth grade buddies help us learn so many things!
